After having a fantastic exterior view of Hallstatt, it is time to move on and take a deeper look into the interior of Hallstatt. The Hallstatt Salt Mine, with over 7000 years of history, is the oldest Salt Mine in the world.

It is quite sufficient to spend one day to cover most of the attractions in Hallstatt. However, as Hallstatt is mostly accessible by boat, the day trip duration is severely limited by the boat timing.
